November Feast – Sabbath as Resistance: Saying No to a Culture of Now

November Feast – Sabbath as Resistance: Saying No to a Culture of Now

Sunday 5 November 2017
6pm in the Church foyer

November’s Feast is part of a 6-week reflection (Nov 5, 12 & 19 plus Dec 10 & 17 ) on the new book by author and scholar Walter Brueggemann, ‘Sabbath as Resistance: Saying No to a Culture of Now’. A great way of deepening our hope while living in a consumer culture in the month leading up to Christmas!

Copies of the book can be ordered through Rod.

FEAST is a shared meal around a big table – for stories, conversation and a shared Communion. Please bring a simple plate of food to share.

– Our church meets on the traditional lands of the Awabakal people, and we pay our respect to elders both past and present –
