June Feast – with special guest Erica Henley

June Feast – with special guest Erica Henley

Sunday 2 June 2019 – 6pm in the Church foyer

Shared food, story and Communion with Erica Henley. Just back from her third trip to the Internally Displaced Peoples (IDP) camps in Kurdistan, Iraq, Erica Henley will share the story of her call to help refugees and IDPs in Kurdistan, Iraq and Syria. In late 2016, Erica was invited to accompany an Australian nurse to refugee camps in Greece. Erica was then drawn to help in Kurdistan where refugees are in the hundreds of thousands. Less than three years later Erica has raised over $85,000 through her Australian Charity ‘Operation Hope Australia Ltd’. As a Humanitarian Volunteer, she has assisted with English Classes for students, Women’s Health Workshops and most recently she coordinated the distribution of the contents of a 40ft shipping container filled with $500,000+ of donated medical equipment and aid.

Please bring a simple plate of food to share. All welcome.

– Our church meets on the traditional lands of the Awabakal people, and we pay our respect to elders both past and present –
