Sunday 26 February 2017
6 – 8pm in the Church Dungeon
Lauren O’Brien has worked as a singing teacher at the Newcastle Conservatorium, a jazz singer, cabaret performer, art teacher in juvenile justice, freelance photographer, children’s drama teacher, TAFE and university lecturer and is now a practicing lawyer in the criminal courts.
Known locally as the inspirational founder of the ‘The D Majors’, a community choir of women touched by cancer, Lauren will share some of her story, perform some songs for us and conduct the choir in a special Expresso performance accompanied by the Terence Koo Trio. The choir has just released their first single ‘True Survivor’ and will continue to tour regional areas demonstrating how singing together can provide support through challenging times.
Join us for a fabulous night of singing, stories and a glass of pink champagne!
