Waratah Brass presents ‘Tis the Season

Sunday 10 December, 2017 @ 1:30 pm

$15 - $20

Waratah Brass presents ‘Tis the Season on Sunday 10 December 2017 at Adamstown Uniting Church.

1.30pm Waratah Training Band
2pm Waratah Brass.

Waratah Brass has been entertaining the Hunter Community for over 130 years! Waratah Brass is still proudly connected to the people and community of Newcastle and Lake Macquarie. Many of our players are local residents dedicated to furthering music and providing entertainment in our region. We are also committed to laying the foundation for the future by fostering young musicians in the Wallsend Youth and Community Brass band.

Reinforcing and strengthening our community connection, the band supports veterans by performing at local Anzac Day events and services. We also contribute to the local banding community by competing in the annual East Coast of Australia Championships held at Newcastle City Hall each June.

In recent years, the band has performed an annual four concert series entitled “Waratah Brass Presents”. Friends and supporters of Waratah Brass, as well as anyone with an interest in brass band music can come along for an extremely enjoyable and affordable afternoon watching this eminent group of musicians perform a wide variety of musical styles – from romantic to swing, popular classics to movie themes and sacred to Broadway.

Although Waratah Brass includes some professional musicians, most of the players in the band perform as amateurs, dedicating their own time to musical excellence and the enjoyment of performing in a brass band.

Tickets at the door: Adults $20/ Concession $15 / Friends of Waratah $12.50 / Children: Free
