Chant for Life
Sunday 17 September, 2017 @ 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm$20 – $25
An afternoon of delight with a community of graceful voices open to explore the breath of an embodied centre. This workshop experience will use some take home singing meditations to calm the mind, nourish the heart and restore healthy balance. If you’re seeking time-out from the distractions and demands of life, come! No experience needed. Chant is the french word for sing – associated with the deep experience of voices singing together found in many spiritual traditions.
Trish Watts is a singer/songwriter, teacher, Voice Movement Therapy practitioner, choir director and dynamic encourager of the playful heart. She has led workshops around the world in voice, movement, and improvised creativity. Believing passionately that ‘every life can sing’, she specialises in finding the voice in others that expresses who we most deeply are, whether at work, home or creating in the inbetween. She has just returned from two years work in Cambodia with Cambodia Sings! She has brought creative life to this country marked by years of war and violence.
This workshop will be in the Memorial Hall.
